The 10th Annual National Cyber Summit was celebrated at the Von Braun Center June 5-7, 2018, with an opening reception honoring the companies whose sponsorship helped grow the event to be our largest ever. The National Cyber Summit is the preeminent event for cyber training, education and workforce development aimed at protecting our nation’s infrastructure from the ever-evolving cyber threat. This year’s summit saw growth in the participation of commercial companies as we focused on two additional tracks, Finance and Advanced Manufacturing. In addition to our partners in Academia we were honored to again have sponsorship from NSA, NIST, FBI, NASA, Department of Defense organizations and civilian departments and agencies.
Attendees represented 47 states, 625 different organizations, and 989 from out of town who stayed in our hotels, and dined in our restaurants. Many of them flew into Huntsville and rented cars.
We had 292 participate in the Job Fair for cleared and uncleared jobs.
This year we introduced the CyberReach Lounge to support diversity in the workforce. They provided networking opportunities and social events that were widely attended.
