Cyber Academy Scholarship

Cyber Huntsville is excited to be partnering with the U.S. Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama, during the summer of 2025, to provide scholarships for a week at the U.S. Cyber Academy. The scholarship includes one week at the U.S. Cyber Academy, a daily class t-shirt, and a $25 wristband stipend. Sixteen students will be chosen as scholarship recipients.  The scholarship does not include travel expenses.  Parents or Guardians will be responsible for getting the students to the US Space and Rocket Center on the Sunday before camp and picking them up on the following Friday.

Applicants will be judged based on the following criteria:

  • Must be an American citizen
  • Must be in middle school
  • Must submit a hand-written essay
  • Must include a recent school transcript
  • Must show an interest in cyber
  • Must be received via email to Info@cyberhuntsville.org by the cutoff deadline to be announced

We welcome any child or grandchild, age 12-14 years old, of a parent, grandparent, or guardian currently associated with Cyber Huntsville through personal membership, membership of an employer, or Cyber Huntsville-supported government organizations, to apply for this incredible opportunity. Affiliated organizations include SMDC, AvMC, MDA, PEO MS, PEO AV, RTC, TSMO, MSIC, NASA, SDA, AMC, FBI, and the City of Huntsville.


Applications will be posted here in late February. Selections will be made by late April. The exact Cyber Camp week will be identified in early spring.

1. Cyber Huntsville promotes students who have excelled in Middle School and are choosing to pursue cyber in their future endevours. While we understand that students have many commitments, Cyber Huntsville only accepts original work produced solely by the applicant. We have a zero tolerance policy for essays that have been plagiarized in any part or are otherwise not original. This includes submissions that excerpt heavily from other sources, but fail to include proper citations or that utilize ChatGPT. Applicants who plagiarize or submit work that is not entirely their own will be disqualified from the scholarship competition. Cyber Huntsville reserves the right to determine whether a submission is dishonest and may disqualify any applicant at any point as a result.

2. If a winning applicant is unable to attend the Cyber Camp, the student will forfeit the scholarship.
