  Please join your private and public sector colleagues at the Huntsville Corporate Security Symposium on September 22, 2025, at the Jackson Center Discovery Hall, 6001 Moquin Drive NW, Huntsville, AL 35806. The Huntsville Corporate Security Symposium is open to personnel in the private sector, state, and local government, as well as personnel supporting the homeland security mission. The Huntsville Corporate Security Symposium will feature speakers from the Department of Homeland Security, Federal Bureau of Investigation, other U.S. Government entities, state, and local agencies, as well as the private sector. Speakers at this day-long event will address a wide range of homeland security topics to include Cybersecurity; The Power of Collaboration; Ransomware; and Insider Threat, just to name a few.

  The Huntsville Corporate Security Symposium is jointly facilitated by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Office of Intelligence and Analysis, Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

  Please note that this event is closed to the media.

  Attendance is free; however, pre-registration is mandatory. Walk-ins will NOT be admitted. Please register using the link below

  The Current State of Cybersecurity with

  Mr. Rodney Piercy

  OCIO, Chief of Cybersecurity

  

  Mr. Rodney Piercy currently serves as the Chief of Cybersecurity, Authorizing Official Designated Representative, and Program-ISSM for PEO AVN and is responsible for the cybersecurity of PEO AVN systems.

  Prior to joining PEO AVN, Mr. Piercy supported the Redstone Test Center since 2009. His assignments included the Chief Information Officer, Chief Technology Officer, Computer Network Defense Chief, Chief of IT, Cyber, and Telemetry for the Aviation Flight Test Directorate. Mr. Piercy also served as the cyber security lead for the Aviation Technical Test Center.  Prior to his civilian service he served in the Army for 20 years as a CH-47 Chinook Flight Engineer and mechanic.

  Mr. Piercy holds an AS in Aeronautics, a BS in Information Systems Management, and an MS in Cybersecurity. He is a member of the Army Acquisition Corps and holds certifications as a Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), and a Certified Network Defense Architect (CNDA).
